Hi All

Is there any way to lock down the runtime geodatabase on a device/pc? Currently, when a user downloads data to a runtime geodatabase on their device, if they can access the geodatabase files and have a copy of Arcmap they can convert that back into a file geodatabase and access it.

Is there any way to set security or encryption of some sort as the runtime geodatabase is created?

Hi Paul,

We do not support encrypted mobile geodatabases. You would need to use some other form of device or file system encryption if this is a requirement for your project.

Thanks,

Luke

I don't have anything to suggest, but perhaps someone else in the community may. Also may be worth cross posting in the Qt Company forums to see if they have any pointers on file security and encryption.
