      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Hi Esri-Team,&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;one of the major arguments for the ArcGIS Runtime is the fact that the end-user does not need any kind of special software or license on his/her local system. Does this include the JRE or is this a basic requirement because you need it to run Java programs at all.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Regards,&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Martin&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Hi Martin,&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Yes a JRE is required on the client machine in order to run an ArcGIS Runtime Java application.&amp;nbsp; Even through the Runtime is XCopy deployable, there are still some system level requirements that a machine must meet in order for the application to run.&amp;nbsp; &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Regarding JRE versions the Runtime supports JRE 1.6 and 1.7.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
