Disable symbol resizing when zooming

Hi,

I wonder if it is possible to disable the symbol resizing when the user zooms in or out. Like in ArcGIS for Desktop I would expect that symbols (for point features) get bigger when I zoom in but when using the iOS SDK the marker symbols and text lables are redrawn to the same size in pixels/points like in the previous zoom level. That is especially awkward for labels that I would like to read with bigger letters.

Are there any settings that can prevent this?

I forgot to mention that I'm using an offline geodatabase. For online map services the zoom functionality works like I expect it to do.
