I'm preparing to set up our first app using licensing at the standard level. All the examples and demo apps make reference to using arcgis.com or an in-house portal for this, but we don't have a portal set up.

I think I remember hearing at the Dev Summit that it would be possible to perform the licensing against an ArcGIS server without the portal component - is this true? If so do I need to do anything differently from the examples?

Thanks!
