From the map, click Add, then click Layer from the web. Enter the URL to the ArcGIS Server service and click OK. You'll be prompted to enter a username and password.

I read in the ArcGIS online blog

about the new ability to connect to secure ArcGIS services. I'm just wondering how that works in relation to any of the mobile apps (iOS, Android, WP7).

Will a user of the app have to enter a username/password to view the map(s). Do the apps even have that functionality, if no, will they and when?

I realize in the app we can sign-in to an ArcGIS server, but I'm looking at a specifically a secure map on ArcGIS.com.

BTW, sorry for the cross-posting. I posted this question originally in the ArcGIS online forum, but it was suggestion I post here as well as the iOS forum.

Thanks!
