ENC layer not displaying in a SceneView

I have found 2 issues with using ENCLayers.

1. Using the example found at Add ENC exchange set | ArcGIS for Developers

While the example works within a MapView, I am unable to get the EncExchangeSet displaying within a SceneView?

Is there any reason why an ENC layer cannot be shown in a SceneView?

2. We have designed our system based on the base layer Clone() method so loading 1 dataset can be cloned and shared between a MapView & a SceneView in one operation. However, an ENCLayer cannot be cloned which has caused an issue with our application.

Can you explain why an ENCLayer dataset cannot be cloned?

ENC is not currently supported in 3D.

Can you tell me if it will be supported in 3D? If so, when?

It's on our backlog but can't share any timelines for it. I've added your request to the issue.
