    <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;I get an exception with 100.4 in the &lt;A href="https://developers.arcgis.com/net/latest/wpf/api-reference/html/T_Esri_ArcGISRuntime_Symbology_DictionaryRenderer.htm"&gt;sample code&lt;/A&gt; when I add a line that calls dictRenderer.ToJson().&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;IMG __jive_id="436675" class="image-1 jive-image" src="https://community.esri.com/legacyfs/online/436675_pastedImage_1.png" /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN style="text-decoration: line-through;"&gt;Maybe there's a bright side to this .... If I create a custom renderer (by inheriting Renderer) and it doesn't pass a test that does a round trip from json and then back, does this mean there won't be any ill side effects?&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;(&lt;A _jive_internal="true" href="https://community.esri.com/message/829970-re-any-plans-to-support-custom-renderers?commentID=829970#comment-829970"&gt;Esri doesn't support custom renderers&lt;/A&gt;)&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Even if I figure this out, it's not clear &lt;A _jive_internal="true" href="https://community.esri.com/thread/228448-how-do-i-create-a-dictionary-renderer-for-peaceful-purposes"&gt;how to create a non-military dictionary renderer&lt;/A&gt;. &lt;IMG src="https://community.esri.com/legacyfs/online/emoticons/sad.png" /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks, Kirk&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
