Error loading CharacteristicsEditor in browser

Hello everyone,

I am new to Roads and Highways. I got hold of the Indiana DOT sample data, imported it into our enterprise SQL server geodatabase and followed the Event Editor Deployment Guide to publish service and web map. When I launch the event editor, I see the countyLog and the stateLog in the network dropdown but I cant see the Indiana DOT map. Using developer tools in chrome, I noticed the error below complaining about the ConvertCADToFeatureDataset . I thought configuring this service is optional and its absence should not throw off events editor.

MapContentModule.js:128 Unable to load the GP service URL for DGN/DWG.

Has anyone ran into this issue before ? Any feedback is very much appreciated.

Hi Ihab,

It sounds like your basemap isn't displaying correctly with Event Editor. If that's the case, the error for ConvertCADtoFeatureDataset most likely isn't the cause. I would suggest opening up a case with Esri Technical Support to have them troubleshoot the issue with you.

This issue was resolved by running the upgrade alrs as described in the link below.
