Token Authentication Failure when I use IpAddress

Hello,

I have set up Token based authentication for my GIS Services in ArcGIS Server and I am using that to access a WMS service. Everything works fine when I use the computer name as the address for the WMS service ex: http://compname/arcgis/services/servicename/MapServer/WMSServer?token=Gc478SaZSbt_DNrAO-Z7L3cAhWJLo6YYfzDXGoxmRgBSZKwiwf-n1uox7YJGriDW&.

But when I replace the computer (compname in the url above) name with an ipaddress i get a "Token Authentication Failure". I have tried changing the TokenServiceURL in Token/Web.config and Rest/Web.config and also the OnlineResource URL in service.cfg file. But, nothing works.

Please let me know if I am missing something.

Does it work if the token is generated for for the ip address (or requestIp) instead of the referer?
