topic REST Query Form Samples in ArcGIS REST APIs and Services Questions

I'm new to the REST Services and I'm trying to learn how to use the Query form. Any help searches I do on the net turn up reference material that assumes you already know how to do things like construct a Spatial Filter.

Is there a User's Guide (not a reference) that explains how to use all the features on the Query form?

For example I'd like to find an object under a lat/long point. How do I do that?

And the inverse - can I find the centroid of found objects?

Idenify is not Query - they are two different beasts as far as I can tell. not all of my resources support Find (maybe they do and the \services\.. don't doument that fact.) Plus the Find link you provided is to reference material which does not describe how to use the form(s.)

I'd need to know how to use the Query form's Filter Geometry. I figured out the point in polygon problem. I'm now seeking a solution to finding a centroid using the REST query or some low level service that does not need to be published.
