Hangs at 50 or 51% while exporting map to PDF

Hi there..

i have some problem with exporting my map to pdf.. its always stuck between 50 and 51%..

so i have done some googling and found this link https://support.esri.com/en/technical-article/000008853

but it said for ver 9.xx while im using 10.6 version..

i couldnt the "Normal.mxt" on my local app folder..

anyone know how to fix this?

Your Normal.mxt is in a hidden folder called AppData. You can unhide the folder or launch the Run dialog or File Explorer window and enter %AppData% and navigate to Roaming\Esri\Desktop10.6\ArcMap\Templates. In the Templates folder, you should see a Normal.mxt. Make sure you have exited all Esri software and then rename the Normal.mxt to Normal_old.mxt. Relaunch ArcMap and new Normal.mxt is generated. Open your MXD and export to PDF again.

Which exporter are you using? Are you using Production PDF (i.e. Save as type: Production PDF (*pdf) that is installed with the Esri Production Mapping extension to export to PDF or are you using ArcGIS Desktop exporter (i.e. Save as type: PDF (*.pdf)?
