Hi Uma,

Thanks for your response and for sending the links. Unfortunately, I need to create my own annotation for my application. The ProSnippets document points to the GeoProcessing tool Create Feature Class as the way to create an annotation feature class. But the tool's documentation doesn't mention annotation as an option - this is only supported as part of the Catalog functionality. A bug was reported in 2011 to ESRI regarding the Create Feature Class not supporting annotation but this was never fixed.

Thanks,

Martin

Hi,

The ProConcepts Annotation documentation says that annotation feature classes (like regular feature classes) can only be created using the GeoProcessing API. However, the GeoProcessing tool CreateFeatureClass doesn't accept ANNOTATION as a feature type. I haven't found any info in the GeoProcessing docs or anywhere else if whether this is possible and how to do it?

Thanks,

Martin
