Messages from GP tool are empty

I am running a gp tool with the sdk and it works fine.

Then I changed the name of the input feature so it does not exists. The GP tool is failing (this is what I wanted) but I cannot get the error message.You can see my code below (I tried 2 different approaches) and I get an empty message.

In fact even if the tool works fine I could not get the messages back.

What am I doing wrong?

Mody,

if you are using a GP service, ensure that the option to transmit messages is enabled.

I use local GP tool not a service.

Still no messages.
