Good morning

When doing a Save As in an ArcGIS Pro Project, it saves it in another location, but still saves in the Default database at the old location.

How to Save an ArcGIS Pro Project in another location and point to the new location?

This has been a HUGE complaint going back several years at this point.

Add in a duplicate Project option - Esri Community

I normally just copy the aprx, the toolbox and the default.gdb to the new location.

then, when I open it from the new location, it has automatically updated the defaults for the project.

If not (because I didn't copy toolbox and/or default.gdb, or want them in different location) you sometimes have to update the locations in the options dialog:
