topic How to export vertical lines to AutoCAD in ArcGIS Pro Questions

I'm attempting to use the Export to CAD tool on Z enabled line data representing utility piping data. We have vertical lines with the same X & Y but with different Z values for the start and end point. I have an elevation field and also a CadType field set to 3D Polyline added to the feature class.

The Elevation field value "specifies the z-coordinate of all vertices of an entity". How do I get around this? Should I be using a contour field? I have some pipes (example: Gravity Sewer with different Start and end z values.) When the elevation field is populated with makes all the Z's the same, and will not export the vertical pipes.

The vertical lines have a SHAPE_Length of 0. (I can create a length field and calculate the vertical length but how would the tool read it?)

Is it even possible for Export to CAD to export these vertical lines?

Thanks

-CR
