Update data source for existing JOIN (a layer and a table)

Hi All,

In ArcGIS Pro (aprx), I have a layer that is joined with a table. I need to change the data source for both the layer and the table. Will the existing join be maintained?

(I have tested this, and the join was removed after I changed the data source for both the layer and the table. I just want to make sure if this is supposed to happen.)

*** existing and new layer and table structure are exactly the same

hey Wilson

"view → catalog view → data sources → item/workspace"

with using "workspace" you can change all data in a database at once. Both the layer and the join.
You have to try whether this also works for the single “item” option or whether the join is ignored.

However: “Workspace” does not work reliably for me. Approximately every 4th join is ignored. The data of the layer is changed, the join still refers to the old data source.
In this case, a warning appears when using “validate and apply”. So at least i know, something didn't work as planned.
