topic Import Contingent Values GP tool help, what do the CSV files look like? in ArcGIS Pro Questions

Hi, I am building a contingency table(?) in ArcGIS Pro 3.4.3. I started by following the contingency help online and watching some short videos. I have created about 100 contingencies manually by choosing the values for each field in Contingent Values table pane. This is working but I have 300+ more to go. I have a csv file with five columns of values that relate to each other: name, genus, species, etc. I created coded-value domains for each of these columns, with the code and description values being identical. Instead of manually building the remaining 300+ contingencies, I would like to use the Import Contingent Values GP tool (I'm assuming this tool will complete the creation steps for me).

Can anyone share an example of the two CSV files the tool requires (screenshots are fine)? It is not clear to me, from the online help, what the content of these two files should look like, i.e., column headers and values in the columns. Many thanks in advance.

Regards, Jay

Since you have some contingent values in your geodatabase already, you should be able to use the Export Contingent Values GP tool to create a CSV and use that as an example.

I hadn't thought of exporting to create an example...obviously. I ran the export tool and compared the two exported CSV files to the two I created. I had the Field Groups csv correct but not the Contingent Values csv. Now it makes sense. Very helpful, thank you. Regards, Jay
