topic Clipping an Importing Layer in ArcGIS Pro Questions

I messing around in Pro trying to get better at it. I came across a file that has a bunch of polygons across my entire state. The file is too long for my computer to handle, so I am unable to load the entire thing in. I want to get the entire state's data into just one county. I already of the county I want as it's own layer. I was wondering if there was a way to essentially clip the importing feature layer in a way to only pull up my selected county?

Can you elaborate on the file being 'too long'? ArcGIS Pro should be able to handle a large volume of features. What's the data source?

If you have a 'County' attribute or another attribute which distinguishes the polygons/features from each County, you could use a Definition Query to limit the results.

Introduction to query expressions—ArcGIS Pro | Documentation

Filter features with definition queries—ArcGIS Pro | Documentation
