Euclidean Distance Failed to execute. Error 000867

When trying to calculate the Euclidean Distance to Point features in ArcGIS Pro 2.3.1, I am suddenly receiving the following errors (only started happening today):

Euclidean Distance failed.

I have tried altering the output file extension, file path of both the source and output files (in both folders and geodatabases), altering the cell size, the coordinate system of the source point and output files and the cell size project method to no avail. Comparably, running it in ArcMap 10.5.1 works without issue.
Any ideas?

Some details on the input point feature:

Data Type: Shapefile Feature Class

Geometry type: Point

Vertical Units: Meter

Spatial Reference:

Projected Coordinate System: British National Grid

Projection: Transverse Mercator

As an update I am also experiencing the same issue with the 'Point Density' tool (exactly the same error message).
As a workaround I have been carrying out the analyses in ArcMap instead.

I was receiving the same error using arcpy. Once I took a deep enough look I realized my workspace was mistakenly trying to create a scratchGDB inside a feature class inside a File Geodatabase. It was trying to create a raster than ended in .afr inside the default workspace for the user. Once I fixed that insanity it worked correctly.

I received this error another time and it was due to a snap raster that did not exist. I fixed that and no more Error 000867

That was definitely part of the problem! Cannot ignore the environment settings. On to the next error. LOL!
