Dissolve Boundaries Summary Fields -

I'm using the dissolve boundaries tool to merge adjoining polygons. I would like to calculate statistics for each polygon in the output based only upon the values in underlying polygons. However, whenever I specify a summary field the value in the output feature class is the value is the same for every record. It seems as though the attribute values are being calculated for a single multi-part geometry.(even though the 'create multi-part features' option is *not* checked and the resulting geometries are all single-part).

Am I doing something wrong? Is this a bug? Any ideas for a workaround?

I know I'm reaching into the wayback machine by responding to this post, but I've just run into this issue.

Generating statistics for the new contiguous polygons seems like it should be the logical result.

Did you ever find a solution?
