Georeference BIM - Where are the Add control points tools?

Hello,

I am georeferencing a BIM (revit file) in Pro 3.4. I find the manual moving and rotating tools hard to navigate and was very happy to see the option to add control points manually. However, I do not see the tools in Pro.

Georeferencing BIM models is pretty new to me, so I'm wondering if I'm just missing something obvious. The help page doesn't really offer any clues, as to what I might be doing wrong. Maybe it's only available with certain file types?

Hi Leon thank you for the feedback. "Add Control Points" is only for georeferencing CAD data. This is the workflow I recommend:

Open a local scene > locate to the project area > Move to Display > Move/Scale/Rotate (enable snapping) > click on the corner of the building (ground floor) > Elevate to Ground > Save. It should work pretty well.

I'm not seeing where the documentation says it only works for CAD data. Actually step 2 says, "Snap to and click the source Revit or CAD feature to create the from point". Is this not correct?

The ground surface was altered during construction, so the "Elevate to Ground" is still a little off in the z direction for my model.

We actually collected a few control points with our GPS, so I know where the corner should be. I used the move and rotate tools to get it close. Then I used the A key to manually type in x,y,z make finer adjustments towards my control point.
