The maximum value for my suitability model is less than the sum of the maximum input values?

As the title says, I'm using Suitability Modeler to create a model with a suitability scale of 1-5. From what I understand, the output suitability model value is additive, summing across suitability ranges of all the inputs. I currently have 3 inputs with suitability ranges from 1-5, so I would expect the range for the value of my out to be 3 -15 . that would be 1+1+1 for a minimum value and 5+5+5 for a maximum value.

However, I'm getting a maximum value of 14? How could that be?

Hi Tanner

Is it possible that you do not have any areas in mode where you have a maximum value 5 for every pixel? Perhaps the highest is only 5+5+4 and not 5+5+5? Maybe check this out first as the model should work.

Sorry, I don't think I was being clear, I meant do you have any pixel with the maximum value of 5 for each of the suitability layers? Perhaps the highest is only a pixel with 5+5+4.

This was in fact the solution to my problem. While my input layer all included pixels with a suitability value of 5 somewhere in the raster, the maximum sum of suitability values that overlapped at a single pixel was 14.
