How do I put the Description under the Label on my legend ?

I am trying to put the description "HUC # is 10190020302" under the Label "PSICC HUC 12" but I could not find a way in ArcGIS Pro 3.3 . Has anyone in here tried this before or have done this before?

Because I asked , the Legend I want need to be "tighten" and I have a map that is almost cover all over the page on 5.8 x 11 letter.

I have often found myself wanting something like this, and haven't discovered a "simple/easy" way to do it. In theory, you should be able to get it done by using the Position elements of the Description's text properties. You'll need a pretty hefty negative (I think) shift to both X & Y on the Description to get it to display under the label in question.

Then you'll need to monkey with the spacing values between Items to keep labels from colliding with descriptions.

There will be a ton of trial & error, but it's theoretically doable. It's just not what I would consider "user-friendly."

That said, if you're running into issues of limited space, it's also valid to ask yourself whether that information needs to be presented, and whether it needs to be presented in the Legend, specifically. For example, if that's the only HUC in the map, then it might be easier & cleaner to work it into the title of the map, wherever you have that.

Yes that is what the X and Y offset I did but that is very painful to do. It is a time-consuming and I want to see if anyone else had that tried a different method.

I ended up using Graphics to insert the description .. Totally forgot about that !!!

Legend item types were introduced in ArcGIS Pro 3.1, so you should see them in 3.3. You do have to have the legend item selection in the Contents Pane (not the legend itself) to see those properties.
