Snapping polygon edges

Hello,

I have index features for a map series and would like the polygon edges to snap to one another. Snapping is activated, and the snapping option "Edge snaps to the nearest edge of a polyline or polygon segment" is on as well:

However, the polygon I am moving is not snapping to the one adjacent to it. Any ideas what is happening there?

Highlight your polygon, hold control on your keyboard, and then the centroid/center vertex will become editable. Move this vertex to the polygon’s corner or edge and release the control button. Now you will be able to move your polygon and it will snap to other polygons with the edited centroid/vertex.
