Would help if you explain what a "LCP" is, along with an image of what you have and what your are trying to achieve.

I am trying to create a simple LCP using slope to compare where a predictive path would cross a river and where the actual road crossed a river, however, my LCP crosses the river in two or three spots. Is there any way to tell the computation to only cross the river once?

I am completely new to GIS so I know my model is not very accurate, however, I am trying to do this for a school project.
