Unable to overwrite mapping service in Enterprise 10.9.1 with ArcGIS Pro 3.3, but can in ArcGIS Pro 2.9

I am encountering an unusual issue that only emerged about a week ago where I cannot overwrite services, I publish in ArcGIS Pro 3.3. Below is my sharing job log:

I've attempted several solutions, including:

Publishing new services
Performing a fresh installation of ArcGIS Pro 3.3

However, none of these attempts resolved the issue. After consulting with technical support, we discovered that I can still publish and overwrite services using ArcGIS Pro 2.9. The challenge is that all my existing services and their corresponding projects were developed using ArcGIS Pro 3+ versions. This issue is particularly puzzling as I have successfully published map services from ArcGIS Pro 3.3 to Enterprise 10.9.1 in the past.

Are you able to overwrite services using any ArcGIS Pro 3.x version? Because I believe you should still be able to open ArcGIS Pro projects saved in 3.3 in 3.0, 3.1, 3.2, etc.

But generally, it's recommended that your ArcGIS Pro version and Enterprise version "match" each other. The further apart the two versions are, the more likely you're going to run into problems you're experiencing. I've unfortunately learned that lesson the hard way.

Yes, I have run into this issue with 3.1 and 3.2 occasionally (with same error messages). have not figured out what causes it, but for some reason, I have to re-register my data source with server.

Even though the existing data source is already registered and validates in server, re-adding a new registration fixed this issue. I would have never figured this one out, but ESRI tech support dialed me in.

Not sure if it applies in your case, but worth testing.

Sorry for the late reply. I tried using ArcGIS Pro 2.9 but continued to experience issues with publishing and overwriting services. What's unusual is that I can sometimes successfully publish a service to one of my servers, but when I attempt to publish that same service to another server, it fails and generates the error log shown above.

That is interesting. I tried your suggested solution, hoping it would fix my issue, but it wasn't successful. The problem seems to be intermittent, however, I've already tried deleting and rebuilding the publishing services, but the problem persists.

Do you have any error messages in ArcGIS Server manager when it fails to publish?
