Seeing vertices on other polygons

I am working in ArcGIS Pro 3.3.1. The project is fine adjustments of a layer to align with another layer. Is there a way to show/see the vertices on the layer I am adjusting to instead of just moving in the suspected area until I get a hit. It gets difficult when the two layers are close or cross and the layer I am adjusting has vertices in the area and it seems to go to those as the priority.

Have you tried using the Trace tool, instead of just snapping vertices? If I'm understanding your workflow correctly, I think it should end up with the same results.

Riffing on @dandandan's suggestion, it occurs to me that you could also do this with symbology.

Just add a Marker Layer to your reference polygon's symbology, and set the Marker Placement settings to "On vertices" and turn off "Angle to line".

I used the square from the top of the ESRI Default Marker font; Unicode 34.

This way, you won't have to re-run Feature Vertices to Points any time your reference layer changes.

As for your layer snapping to itself when the points are close, you can actually turn that off from the contents pane. Click the snapping tab, and uncheck the new layer you're adjusting. That way, it'll still snap to the reference layer, but you won't keep getting hung up on the edited layer.

Try holding the 't' key down while using an edit tool.
