Hi everybody,

I have two ArcGIS Server cache directories : the default one and another one.

I want to publish a service based on an existing cache, using PRO 3.1.2.

Where do I choose the ArcGIS Server cache directory when I have more than one (as in my case)?

How does PRO know where the cache is?

Can I set it prior to the Publish process?

Thanks a lot,

Miri

Have you run the Analyze tool on your to-be-published service? It will find if an existing cache exists and give you options for using it.

Hi,

You can add a custom cache directory using Server Manager. Please see this: https://enterprise.arcgis.com/en/server/latest/administer/linux/adding-a-server-directory-in-manager.htm

After adding the cache directory, you can select it in ArcGIS Pro when sharing a cached map image layer. For more info, see https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/help/sharing/overview/configure-map-image-layer.htm

Best,

Hello @JonahLay ,

I wish it worked like you describe but it dosn't.

From my experience today, I saw that it deletes the all levels from the existing cache (in the custom directory) and simply creates 24 levels of AGOL.

It shows like it works but actually it doesn't.

Thanks,

Miri
