The selection would switch to the newly created feature.</P><P>For making edits while maintaining a selection, that is definitely possible. When I create a new feature, all of my selections are cleared (regardless of if it is the same or different feature class). In the past, I have been able to maintain those selections while performing edits, yet now that is not the case. I am not aware of any settings that I have changed, simply that the selections are no longer maintained.
