topic Water Simulation DEM Cell-Size problems in ArcGIS Pro Questions

Hi, I have the following problem.
I am currently trying to create a flood and heavy rainfall simulation for our environmental agency using the new simulation function.

As you can see in the picture, I have created my own DEM with a resolution of 1 meter. Here we can clearly see the road with the ditch.

If I now create my Area of Interest for the simulation and set the cell size to “Maximum Fit”, the best possible resolution is selected due to the size of the AoI. This would be 0.4 meters here.

However, the DEM is scaled up so much that the resolution loses a lot of accuracy. But since the cell size is much smaller than the resolution of my DEM, should the DEM actually adapt to the cell size? Instead, however, the DEM is simply scaled up considerably.
Even with a maximum cell size of 3.5 meters, I get the same poor resolution in the DEM.

Is there a solution for this? Or is this a known problem?
