Append Tool NOT working

Have not had a problem, but recently within the past 2 days, the Geoprocessing tool APPEND, will not work. It hangs or freezes or crashes. Doesn't matter if I am using ArcGIS Pro (3.3.1), Python (updating AGOL) or within a data model.

Anyone else have this problem recently and/or in the past and if so, how to fix it?

Causing a lot of problems without this critical tool.

We have been having issues with this for past 24 hours. I believe it is related to ESRI server/system issues on AGOL.

INC-001547: Asynchronous operations are slow to complete on all service endpoints.

That could most likely explain it. I can use the overwrite feature in ArcGIS Pro to update a Hosted Feature Layer sitting on AGOL. However, that defeats the purpose of the dozens of scripts I have created that we use to keep AGOL updated.

Basically need to wait for ESRI???

I have noticed this same issue with the Append tool. After 20 minutes of the tool running without appending I cancelled the tool, and then after about an hour of the cancel running I closed out of ArcPro with the Task Manager. Thanks for posting this

Same. I have run the tool for at least an hour already and stucked at 72%, with 201 features. I've cancelled the process and closed ArcGIS Pro. Run the same tool in ArcMap and done in minutes.

Are there any issues with this at present? Or is just my feature service deciding to play up for no reason? Republished it an still having issues. Append is "running" but not completing (just says Updating).
