topic Geoprocessing tools (Feature to Point & Buffer) not honouring domains or subtypes - ArcGIS Pro 3.1 in ArcGIS Pro Questions

Hi,

Hoping someone may be able to provide some insight/solutions for me.

I am working with a complex database that includes coded domains and subtypes. I need to generalise polygons into point features and convert lines to polygons with the end goal of creating 3D models, whilst doing this I need to maintain feature attribution.

So far I have been using the Feature to Point geoprocessing tool (polygon to point) and the Buffer tool (to convert polylines to polygon). They do the job i need, however they do not honour coded domains. This leaves my attribution table with the code numbers instead of text values. Many of the other geoprocessing tools have a checkbox in the Environments tab enabling transfer of domains and subtypes but these tool do not.

Are there other similar tools that can convert polygons to point and transfer domains? A colleague has come up with a script as a work around, however, this takes over 7 hours to run!

I am new to 3D work in Arc Pro and still finding my way!

Thanks
