topic How do I get a POD file to ArcGIS Pro? in ArcGIS Pro Questions

Hello, my name is John Mellor.

I'm an experienced GIS user, and I'm sort of new to Bentley/Microstation/OpenRoadsDesigner (ORD). We have a situation where, and I think I'm saying this correctly, in Bentley's Microstation (SS4/ORD) a LAS file was used to create a POD (a microstation 'pointool' file [a point cloud]) file then the LAS file was deleted. Now we are trying to get the POD file into our GIS, same as we would import a file geodatabase or a shapefile. So far, we have been unsuccessful and think we are missing a step or two. Does anyone have any idea what tool, geoprocess or translator we would need to use to get the POD file into our GIS? Or do we have to create a new LAS file from the POD file, and if so, would we do this conversion in ORD?

Thanks in advance,

John M
