topic Map series: Correctly set dynamic paths to images lost upon zooming in ArcGIS Pro Questions

Even though the dynamic images in the layout of the map series are correct (the link points to the table with a directory on my computer where the images are hosted), sometimes the images randomly appear or disappear with the zoom of the layout. This affects the export as PDF and other formats. Is this a bug? Is there any way to fix this situation?

Thanks for any insight
