topic Help understanding 'X/Y Offset' and 'pt' value in ArcGIS Pro Questions

Running Pro 3.1.0 - Feature Linked Annotations

I'm confused by the values that we put in for annotation X and Y Offsets, which i understand are Pt values. I understand that 1 Point is approx 0.003527778meters, but when i put in a value of 50 for the Y Offset the annotation jumps to approx 200meters north which is much greater than what i was expecting.

Is this somehow related to the annotation reference scale? What is the correct formula I would need to consider when trying to work out an offset value if the annotation was moved via some client application.

I just need to understand what the Esri client app is doing with that 'pt' value when coming up with the distance offset that it does.

Many thanks in advance!

mark
