Newly drawn polygon not appearing

Version is up to date. I am working on a versioned SDE layer. When I create a new polygon, it doesn't appear until I save and reconcile. I can see attributes for the new polygon and can even run a tool on it. I just can't see it. I don't have a definition query on and the symbology is just a single symbol outline. Any ideas on how to fix this?

There could be an issue with the spatial index on that feature class.

If you stop editing and rebuild the index using the GP tool, then you start to edit and create a new polygon, does it show up?

Thanks for the tip, I'll talk to my DB admin (I can't directly alter this layer).

Index rebuild didn't work, still seeing the same behavior
