Contours not visible in slope model

Hello,

I have a basic slope model that clips the DEM to the extent of the parcel, calculates slope, converts the DEM meters into feet and outputs contours (contours with barriers - z factor = 3.28084).

I'll occasionally notice a pattern where the contours won't show in the part of the parcel where the slope is minimal (green).

See example below:

Even if a site has minimal slope (<2.5%) I should still be able to see contours as contours have nothing to do with rise/run. It just outlines the elevation.

Any guidance would be appreciated - thanks!

This is largely going to depend on your contour interval. have you tried adjusting that to see at what level you might get contours? It might be an interesting exercise to use the identify tool in those low slope areas to see what the actual elevation is at different parts of those areas. And actually, I'd argue contours have everything to do with slope, its just one way of visualizing the change of elevation over distance.

Edit: Make sure you are being deliberate in completing this portion of the geoprocessing tool, if you leave it to just defaults you may get results you aren't very happy with.
