topic Clunky definition query in ArcGIS Pro Questions

Hi all,

I'm using version 2.8.8 and I have a featureclass of 8 map extents/tiles. I want to filter out just the map extent I am working on so the rest of the data is masked out, so I have applied a definition query to filter out just one map tile using the NOT IN function. This works fine but if I save the project and open it again, it decides it will filter out an additional tile despite the definition query remaining unchanged. However, the attribute table has the correct listing i.e. 7 tiles but the map view shows only 6, so "Pro" has decided to not show an additional tile of its own choosing, but retains it in the attribute table. To correct this I have to delete the definition query and re-instate it, however I have to do this every time I open the project. Any ideas?
