Set a default select tool?

I was wondering if there's a way to set a default select tool style. I recently updated to Pro 3.2 and was looking through the shortcuts, excited to make myself aware of (and probably change) the shortcut to access the Select tool. I was hoping that we'd be able to change the default select style away from Rectangle. I very much prefer to use the Lasso tool, but there doesn't appear to be a way to change this. I looked through the Selection settings in Pro's Options menu, but didn't see anything there.

Is it possible to set a default style for the Select tool?

Agreed, this would be very convenient! I also prefer the lasso tool and it seems to make more sense as the default since it's rare for geographic phenomena to occur in a perfect rectangle.

Esri, if it is not already possible to set the default select tool, this would be a great idea for a future software release!

I was just looking for this, for some reason I feel like it was possible, because I don't remember it driving me so nuts at my previous job as it is at my new one... does anyone know or did an idea get created for it yet?

I just created an Idea for this, because it seems there is not currently a way to change your default select tool.
