Thanks for the feedback ....I did find one obscure webpage latst night on esri that said that they do support postgres 16 in some fashion but sadly make no mention beyond that. (cant find it now 😞

ALSO for others According to this too they only support postgis 3.3 and not 3.4.1 (the latest as of 2/24)

I will have to run an instance of postgres 15 alongside 16 (gggrrrr). [Messes up environment variables]

I have an alternative to run on a linux vm which i may do or run under windows bulit in linux feature

https://support.esri.com/en-us/knowledge-base/is-my-postgresql-database-version-supported-by-arcgis-e-000030040

Cheers

R

I am wondering why there is no support regarding postgreSQL 16 server thats been out over 6 months.

Looking for ArcGIS Pro ST_Geometry Libraries (PostgreSQL) for version 16

Anybody else have this issue ?

Hello @Geo_Droid PostgreSQL 16 is indeed not supported with the current 11.2/3.2 versions, so you won't find a ST_Geometry library for that.

https://enterprise.arcgis.com/en/system-requirements/latest/windows/database-requirements-postgresql.htm

Unfortunately, it also seems that support is "not planned" for the next ArcGIS release.

https://support.esri.com/en-us/knowledge-base/is-my-postgresql-database-version-supported-by-arcgis-e-000030040

The release schedule for big changes in Esri products is about a year, so it takes another year for them to catch up with Postgres.

Just out of curiosity I dug around in my copy of Enterprise 11.2. In DataStore and in Portal, they use Postgres 14
