Publicly share custom GP tool with the community

I have a custom geoprocessing tool called Selection to Definition Query that I want to share with the community.

Currently, the tool is available as a .zip in this post: https://community.esri.com/t5/python-ideas/refer-to-a-specific-contents-layer-even-when-there/idi-p/1373590/highlight/true

I think it would be better to share that tool in some sort of public Esri tools repository (not zipped) rather than tuck it away as a .zip file in an obscure idea. Is there a public page for sharing user-made tools?

Esri Case #03556400 - ArcGIS Code Sharing website — Upload Scripts link is dead
...the ArcGIS Code Sharing website is being phased out. This site is a search UI to find code within ArcGIS Online but it is no longer maintained. Your code can still be shared normally in ArcGIS Online as an item. The team recommended sharing your code in the Esri Channel repositories which you can still maintain since it will work as a GitHub repository:

The ArcGIS Code Sharing website is a search UI to find code in ArcGIS Online. Items uploaded through the above method are displayed on the ArcGIS Code Sharing website. The link and image you sent me is an ArcGIS Online item. All the code found in the sharing website is simply an ArcGIS Online item. Please share your code as an item within your ArcGIS Online Organization.

The ArcGIS Code Sharing website may still function partially but it is no longer being maintained hence why the sharing code button does not work anymore. Esri Inc. mentioned since the website is no longer being maintained and is being phased out, an enhancement request will not be addressed by the dev team.

but it is hard to find stuff on github or arcgis online unless you get the right combination of keywords

and a small code snippet or toolbox probably won't be shared by someone not willing to set up a github site
