Failed to add data

Hey everyone,

I'd like to add a shapefile with street data to my map in ArcGIS Pro. I usually do this succesfully by simply clicking on "Add Data". If I do so with this shapefile, I get the following error: "Failed to add data"

I checked the following: There are no spaces in the path to where it is stored. It does not make a difference substituting the "ß" with "ss".

I hope someone can help me.

It could be corrupted or there is something wrong with the data in the file. But first I'd check and see if all the components (.dbf, .prj, etc.) of the shapefile are present with the identical name.

you were right. One of the components was missing. Now it is working 🙂

Which components should be present?

I have the same issue but the components present are .cpg, .dbf, .prj, .sbn, .sbx, .shp
