topic Native 3D intersections with points and polygons? in ArcGIS Pro Questions

I'm wondering if there is a way to natively intersect 3d points with a multipatch. I'm not even so interested in an intersection as I am in easily highlighting which points fall within the multipatch volume without having to resort to altitude based attribute queries (which I don't even have with the multipatch dataset). I've tried a Select by Location and that doesn't work. And there doesn't seem to be an Intersect 3D options in Geoprocessing that fit my use case.

You can see in the image that when I use the Select by Location with plain Intersect, it highlights any features that intersect the polygons regardless of elevation, as if everything was on the ground. Using the same Select By Location with Intersect 3D highlights no features. Am I going about this wrong?
