Changing Extent of Non-Mapseries Map Based on Layer attribute

Hello,

I have a map series created that shows contours and spot elevations around a dam structure. I also have a map that shows profiles (single cross-section polylines) spanning the whole length the dam. I have my map series running off an index layer maintaining a contant scale in the contour map.

I am trying to get the extent of my cross-section lines to change based on which sheet I am in. I've made a polygon index layer to match what part of the line is associated with each contour sheet index. I just cant seem to figure out a way to link the cross-section index and set the scale. I tried playing around with the map frame display constrains, but could not get it to work.

Does anyone know if this is possible?
