Converting LAZ to LAS without LASzip

I am trying to convert LAZ files to LAS. Every tutorial I have found says to download LASzip. The problem being that the download link on LASzip.org gives a 404 error. I need to find a way to use the LAZ files downloaded from USGS and without LASzip it doesn't seem like that is possible.

Go here to download: https://rapidlasso.de/customer-support/ LASzip.exe is included in the LAStools.zip package as free software.

You can also use the Convert LAS tool within Pro if you have the required license.

You could use PDAL. Installation instructions in the Quickstart

pdal translate input.laz output.las
