Regarding the Add Spatial Join geoprocessing tool (implemented in ArcGIS Pro 3.0):

Joins attributes from one feature to another based on the spatial relationship. The target features and the joined attributes from the join features will be joined. The join is temporary.

Does that mean the join is dynamic, kind of like a non-spatial join or a SQL query? Or is the result of the join stored in a static temporary table in the map or default FGDB somewhere, and the tool would need to be re-run to refresh the spatial join fields?

Related idea (implemented): Spatial join without creating a new feature class
