Hello Brenda, in the labeling pane, under the Position tab, you should be able to set a buffer, which will space the labels, and check hard constraint (if you want the buffer applied 100%).

I have a point layer. I am labelling this layer, and for the label symbols, I am a simple line under the "Callout" option. However I can't seem to figure out how to make the leader line symbols longer. I need to do this because I have a lot of overlapping points and so it seems like it would be an easy way to space out the labels (right now they are really messy) by making the lines longer.

Okay I see now that if I go to the "Position" tab and under the "Placement" settings, I can increase the preferred offset, which increases the line length from the point. Now is there a way to space out the labels from eachother rather than from the points?
