GDB to CAD best practices

I'm exporting out an as-built for a golf course hole and my architect complains that my polygons with unique symbology are turning into polylines with identical symbology. I don't have CAD to test this internally and I don't know if what my architect is seeing is "normal" or if I could do more to make it look clear.

What I want to carry over:

Labels on points
Points as points
- Not lines
Polygons as polygons
- Not lines
Symbology
- including unique symbology for feature classes
The table holding other feature class fields like pipe material

I'm worried I did something wrong and there's egg on my face. Also worried that using ArcGIS may be seen by my collages as a mistake.
