Pro 3.1.1 crash when opening a project

We have moved our team from 2.9.5 to 3.1.1. everybody is fine and working but one!

he is opening a project that was created in 2.9.5 and arc pro crashes.

This only happens when opening a project that was created a month earlier in 2.9.5 ver.

When creating a new project it works fine.

I am looking for ideas!!!

It is a difficult one to say. Have they tried this for any other projects?

If possible they could export the Project in 2.9.5 to a Project Package via the Share tab and test opening this at 3.x.

I suspect it is a File or data connection that might be causing this hence creating a new Project is working.

Thank u for the answer.

We have moved 10 people from 2.9.5 to 3.1.1 and 9 are ok. only one has the problem.

Everyone else works just fine.

I have check 5 other projects on that computer and all are causing the crash.

I have a suspicion that the problem is a bad framework installation. I will check it today and report here after.

In that case, usually a clean reinstall resolves these issues.

This blog from Esri Austrailia provides a quick list of steps that can be used.
