Varying Rotation by attribute picks up Primary Symbology Domain

I have primary symbology set to field "Type" and want to use field "Angle" to rotate the symbols. For some reason, it's picking up the "HeadType" domain. It doesn't have this problem when I set the rotation field to "none". It doesn't happen if I set the "Primnary Symbology" to "Single Symbol" (which was my instrument in band)

This stays an issue when the rotation field is floating, short and double. Rotation must be a numeric field

I am aware that "circle" is misspelled .

Hi @piratecheese (cool name) did you ever find a resolution to your issue? I believe I'm experiencing a similar problem!

A: I think I used a python arcade script to handle it

B: unfortunately I don't have that script on hand because my org has gone to qgis

wow 4 minute response time 🙂 - no worries. Just confused as to why it would be picking up the symbology/domain field when there was no domain applied to the rotation field. Doesn't make much sense; guessing perhaps it's a bug - I can still enter numeric values into the field to get the rotation I need.
